1. Work with a team of health professionals in addition to your Ob/Gyn and Urologist. These could include an Acupuncturist, Herbologist, Naturopath, Ayurvedic Physician, Energy Worker, Family or Couples Therapist, and other health professionals who will help you strengthen your physical body and mind holistically. Many of these disciplines have useful strategies to work with infertility problems. 2. Learn relaxation techniques and use them! Stress and anxiety are blocks to the nourishing life energy you need to become pregnant and birth a healthy baby. 3. Throw out old beliefs that just don't apply. For example, 'You just can't have kids after 30 years of age,' needs to be dropped from your reality. 4. Stay abreast of the latest solid information about how to prepare your body for a healthy pregnancy, and how to best achieve fertilization. 5. Look carefully at healing leftover effects from old traumas, both physical and emotional, which could be preventing you from conceiving. Once you have identified the issues particular to your fertility challenge, you can begin to chart the retrieval of your healthy energy and bodily capacity. 6. Unless you are well over 50 years of age, don't buy into the frenzied thought that time is running out. Most treatments for infertility take from one to several months. Meanwhile if you are living in fear and your adrenaline continuously surges you will markedly hinder your healthy hormonal balance and your return to fertility. Slow down instead. Focus on positive thoughts of getting your life and your body healthy in preparation for your new baby rather than dwelling on the negative concept of 'time running out.' 7. How is your living and working environment? Healthy? Energizing? Alive? Do you feel connected to the earth and its people? How about your spiritual connection as you experience it? Do you have a healthy foundation for creating life, or do some of these areas need some healing and adjustment before you can bring a new being into the world? Spend some time looking at the big picture in this way. 8. Use some of the technologies of meditation, Feng Shui, bodywork,/massage, Aromatherapy and Healing Sound to heal imbalances between body, mind, spirit, and earth. 9. Consider an effective program for detoxifying and cleansing your body. Good ones can involve herbal treatments, chelation therapy and short term supervised fasting/dieting, 10. Make sure your partner is
doing some of these same things.
